The Mayan word for tree, TE, uses T, the symbol for tree, and E for stEps of Elevation, and branching.

Hebrew

The Hebrew word for tree is ETZ, עֵץ. The letters symbolize the elevation of tree tops, and depth of their roots.

Z symbolizes zenith, the utmost height. Z also signifies depths below zero. Z applies to  roots, which grow down below the zero level soil horizon, or objects like a chisel, incisor, scissor, adze, or razor, which cut below surfaces.

 

The letter z also represents life in its most condensed, or zipped up form: a zygote, or seed. In Chinese, 子, "Zi" is seed, the zero point, and origin of life. The Chinese character 子, "Zi" uses a horizontal line for the ground, with a plant root below and leaf unfurling above. The letter Z represents above and below. The letter i symbolizes tiny size, and inside location. A seed is tiny, and hidden in the ground.

The Hebrew word for tree, ETZ עֵץ, emphasizes how the a tree is like a bridge between the underworld and hEaven. Tree roots are like FEET and toEs buried in the ground.

Basque

Basque is a language considered a mysterious language isolate. Yet, the Basque word for tree, zuhaitz, resonates with TZ sound in the Hebrew ETZ עֵץ.
