Meta-language Interpretation of Egyptian Hieroglyphics
There are the perhaps two thousand hieroglyphs. Here are twenty-four which most closely approximate the letters of the alphabet.
A is an Arrow Aiming Above ^. The Ascending association of A affects the meaning of words like Aerial, Angel, Arch, Attic, Atmosphere, and Aviation! In hieroglyphics, the connection between A and the air above is evident. The glyph is a vulture, the Avian Avatar of the afterlife.
A also represents an arm. The figure of A traces an animation of an arm swinging back and forth, and flexing at the elbow. An A also illustrates the Angle of a wAving or flApping wing. The arm A is also associated with ABOVE because the arm can extend above the head.
A is above, b is below
b means below in meta-language symbology. B is the basis of words like bottom, basement, below, boot, and baja (low) in Spanish. It is the complement of A which Aims Above. B is a foot in hieroglyphics, whereas A is an arm.
Kh is identified with the placenta in hieroglyphics. In meta-language, K relates to the hand. Kaph is a claw-like character in Phoenician. The claw K corresponds to keeping and clasping. In basket, however, it is porous and allows things to come out.
The letter h depicts a hand reaching down from a higher position. The words have, hold, and harvest illustrate the association of the letter h with the hand. A hand also represents keeping and coming out. The placenta provides oxygen and nutrients to the baby growing in the womb, a filtering and nourishing baby basket! Sunrise in hieroglyphics uses KH, the (K)crowning, or (K)coming forth of H - Heaven's Heat, Helios (Greek), the Sun! Kheper is the name Egyptians gave to the rising sun.
To make the KH sound, you use the hard, rocky, palate of the mouth to both keep in the breath, but let some K come out. To both retain and release is the sieving function of a basket.
This sound may also correspond to the idea of covert, black, and obscured, as in the new moon, another possible interpretation for this disk with hazy lines across it.
K is the reflecting, sun-covering moon which lights the blacK of night. We may only see the bacK side, its true face is hidden.
H is the the sun, Helios, the hot Hub of the Heavens.
Kh is cover and keep, D is display and give
D is represented by a hand in hieroglyphics. In meta-language symbology, D also represents the hanD, and in particular the palm, or heel of the hanD. The fingers are represented F and by n as in index finger pointing up. D is associated Doing and giving, as in Deal, Donate, Distribute, and Discharge.
F is represented by a "horned viper" in hieroglyphics. This is a mysterious and interesting character ... (read more)
