A TREE

 

From a seed that's small,

a tree spreads its roots,

and raises its woody arms.

to heaven as its trunk grows tall.

Branches sprout leaves

that can turn from green,

to firey red in the Fall.

In the elevated tiers and tops

of these forest towers,

Birds perch their feet,

and tweet, sing, and call.
